（路透首爾2日電）讓南韓總統朴槿惠捲入風暴的醜聞已使她所領導的保守新世界黨陷入動盪，原定明年底舉行總統選舉的南韓政局也因此陷入混亂。
據南韓民意調查機構Realmeter所作民調顯示，在檢方調查朴槿惠閨密崔順實是否干政，並利用兩人關係中飽私囊的同時，朴槿惠的支持度已跌落至歷來最低的17.5%。
案發後，在野黨步步為營，自我克制不要求朴槿惠下台，也未提彈劾。
若朴槿惠辭職，依法須在60天內舉行選舉。分析認為，在野黨沒這麼快就準備好要在風險極高的選戰中跟新世界黨開摃。如果重選總統，當選人將可做滿5年任期。
